Installing a pump with 5 stars has an annual return on investment of 13%
An energy efficient pool pump can reduce a household’s annual electricity bill by more than $500
Choosing an energy efficient pump has been made easier with their inclusion in the Government’s energy efficiency labelling scheme. The more stars shown on the label the more energy efficient the pump.
Pumps with high star ratings are not necessarily a better financial investment due to their higher purchase cost. A Return on Investment calculation is used to show how to maximise long term financial benefits from a new pool pump.
Other Information shown on the label
The energy efficiency labels also include other information households may find useful when choosing their new pump.
